This is a key area for the efficacy of your sport’s integrity program. Our consultants have direct experience in supporting sport across various acting National Integrity Management roles. From our experience, we truly understand how critical this key function is.
Game Integrity can help manage one-off complaint assessment, case categorisation, communications, and outcomes.
Or, we can manage your complaints as a whole via an outsourcing arrangement: triaging parties, assessing matters, and manage low category Complaints and escalating medium and high level matters, while providing regular reports and updates.
-
We have significant experience in successfully running external and independent investigations across many NSOs and SSOs.
Our consultants are effective and knowledgeable in dealing with such matters. We manage investigations with a trauma informed focus so as to mitigate further risks, where appropriate.
-
From basic reviews as to gap analysis against ASC benchmarking to structural reviews, our consultants are experienced in identifying and delivering better governance outcomes for sporting organisations, allowing sport to focus more on the delivery of organisational objectives.
If your sport is federated, unified, or governed under a hybrid approach, we can support with governance reviews and recommendations.
-
As sports lawyers, our consultants have significant experience in mitigating the risks of disputes arising and managing any disputes which do arise.
In this way, and with our experience, we assist sport to manage conflict across member grievances, integrity sanctions, and conduct tribunals and judiciaries more effectively than non-legal consultants.
We can also provide services to review existing tribunal arrangements to develop new tribunal and dispute resolution processes and policies to ensure the quick, fair, and efficient resolution of disputes in your sport.

Past Project
REview of the integrity of the australian esports industry
Client: Sport Integrity Australia
Lead Consultant: Mat Jessep
We were engaged by Sport Integrity Australia, the Australian Federal Government Agency operating as the National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) in Australia, to conduct a review into and report on integrity in Australian Esports.
The review was undertaken between April and July 2021 and was conducted using qualitative and quantitative primary research methods. Engagement from identified key stakeholders within esports and from sport was invited. All participation was voluntary, and information was treated as confidential.
Over a period of five (5) months Mat engaged with over 65 individuals from over 35 stakeholder organisations in the Australian esports and competitive gaming sector to assess, report on, and offer recommendations regarding various integrity issues in Australian Esports.
Insights from interviews conducted in June and July 2021 were collated and considered in the development of recommendations. Substantial secondary research was undertaken for the drafting of the Report, seeking to support or otherwise counter all insights, including any extreme views expressed during the Review.
A draft of this Report was submitted to Sport Integrity Australia in July 2021. The Report was finalised in October 2021 and totalled over 45,000 words in 175 pages, with 21 recommendations made to government.
The design of a modified esports integrity framework and processes and approaches to support such a proposal were developed from the recommendations made, for Sport Integrity Australia to consider further, pending the allocation of resources as against government priorities.
